Scientific-technical and economic information

Within the scope of its active information services the Institute provides the public with:

library, which has a stock of about 12000 books and over 30 specialist journals on welding and related techniques,
collection of abstracts of articles on welding and related techniques,
thematic information services prepared on individual order,
Welding Information Data Bank (SIBD) which stores addresses of companies as well as information on welding products and services. (available only in Polish language - www.sibd.is.gliwice.pl)

The Institute offers its publications:

Biuletyn Instytutu Spawalnictwa (Welding Institute Bulletin)
- a bi-monthly magazine informing about all areas of the newest achievements, conducted research and events in welding,
  (contents and summary of the articles)
  (The offer of the magazine "Biuletyn Instytutu Spawalnictwa" for 2010)
Guidelines
- a number of issues on training programmes, welding technology, repairs etc.
Sets of lectures
